Are you interested in camping out in Yosemite National Park in California? Yosemite offers a wide variety of tent cabins to maximize comfort and efficiency without detracting from the natural camping experience. These nifty tents are made with canvas walls, along with floors and support beams made of wood. The cabins are available at a lower cost than a regular wooden cabin. There are several cabin locations throughout the park, along with other cabins available in private campgrounds in the area. This style of tent is a trademark lodging option at Yosemite National Park; many campers use these tents every year.
Tents for rent are available at various spots in the park, including Curry Village (also known as Camp Curry), Tuolumne Meadows Lodge, and White Wolf Lodge. The amenities offered at each of these locations vary. Curry Village/Camp Curry can house up to six campers on cot beds. Although there are no electrical outlets to use electronics, each tent has one light fixture to see around at night. You can bring your own sleeping bags and pillows on your camping trip, or you can rent bedding from the campground. Several camping units may have heaters if you are interested in camping in Yosemite during the fall or early spring. More deluxe cabins at the park are equipped with insulation panels; these are known as Curry Village Signature Tent Cabins. Bathroom facilities at Camp Curry are shared with other campers. Some of these cabins also have a housekeeping service that will change the linen and take out any trash you might have. Tuolumne Meadows Lodge and White Wolf Lodge have more Spartan accommodations with their tenting units than Curry Village. These tent cabins do not have electricity or running water. The units in these locations have wood stoves and candles available for heating and lighting. If you stay at these campsites, each lodge serves a family-style dinner if you did not bring your own food. |
